NASA Finds Proof of Water on Mars

Truly exciting information.  While having studied astronomy, I was aware of many facets of Mars that make it the next closest desirable planet for life to have existed, or, to exist in the future for that matter should our planet's environment begin to fail.  But, until now, it was unknown whether water had been, or could potentially be, present on the planet's surface - or perhaps even hidden deep below its crust.  This new evidence, as seen in the incredible photograph below, gives new hope to space exploration and future colonization theory.
