Morgellons: You're Not Crazy After All

While it is unknown exactly how long Morgellon's, an obscure, little understood, and less studied disease, has been in existence, it is known, that to date, an unnumerable amount of people have been locked away in psychiatric hospitals, marked as suffering from psychosis, when, in fact, they were, and still are, truly, physically ill.

The number of reported cases, mostly in Florida, Texas and California, continues rising, yet the Government and Health Agencies, both local and national, including the Centers for Disease Control, continue to turn their backs on the disease, rather than trudging forth into the realm of the unknown.

Intensive research, following public acknowledgement that Morgellon's does, in fact, exist, while not a cure, will surely heal those who have been suffering in silence for so long.  Fear of the unknown is understandable, but closing your eyes won't make it go away.  And, while ignorance may be bliss, knowledge is power.  JH11713.

For about two years now, Food Nation Radio Network has been covering the issues that affect our food supply. During the course of our research, investigations and interviews for the show, we came across a particularly disturbing piece of information in the genetically modified food puzzle. It’s the possible relationship between agrobacterium, genetic engineering and Morgellons Disease.

Agrobacterium is a bacteria that causes tumors in plants through a transfer of DNA. It is used for genetic engineering of corn, soybeans, canola, sugar beets, alfalfa and other foodstuffs. Some studies have shown agrobacterium can also affect the DNA of humans.

A study done on Morgellons Disease patients by Vitaly Citovsky, a professor of molecular and cell biology at Stony Brook University in New York (SUNY) found all patients tested positive for the presence of agrobacterium, while the healthy control patients did not. Morgellons is a disease one would think would be in a science fiction novel. It is characterized by lesions on patients and fibers containing minerals growing underneath the skin. For many years, nearly the entire medical community (including the CDC) maintained it was a psychiatric condition, with patients causing their own lesions and other symptoms. As of January, 2012 the CDC appears to maintain that stance, although researchers and respected scientists in Oklahoma, New York, Toronto and other parts of the world are taking this possible epidemic seriously.

Some notable individuals claim to suffer from Morgellons, including musician, Joni Mitchell and former baseball player Billy Koch. It is possible this is an infectious disease, due to the presence of it in entire families and it is found more among nurses and teachers who come into contact with a number of people on a daily basis. Morgellons is reported more in California, Florida and Texas than anywhere else, although it is found throughout the world.
Here is our recent interview with accomplished genetic researcher, Professor Joe Cummins, Professor Emeritus at the University of Western Ontario on the possible Morgellons Disease/GMO connection FNRN Highlight – Prof Joe Cummins on Morgellons .

  1. Follow me on WordPress.com as Kimeab ... Those of us who suffer from this horrible disorder, do so in silence ... for fear that the Drs or public will think that we have a "screw loose" or something. But the facts speak for themselves. Just take the time to listen, and learn. Read this article, and then go to "wordPress.com". This is a serious problem that needs to be adressed, and Now ! The gov order for disbersement of Corexit is Real & dangerously close to exposing Future Generations to an epidemic that we cannot (or will not) control. YOU be the judge !

  2. The CDC, EPA, and other local/state/federal health agencies responsible for protecting the public health have turned their backs on the countless numbers of Morgellons victims. It is outrageous that private citizens have to take matters in their own hands to try to find answers to this emerging disease that is a worldwide threat. Where are our protections as United States citizens? Who or what are they really protecting? I appreciate the hard work and dedication of the many remarkable people, around the world, working diligently to help find a cure for this new disease. Clifford Carnicon (www.carniconinstitute.org)has done extensive research on this matter and seem to be achieving tremendous strides in understanding the processes of Morgellons. Thank you Carnicon and colleagues for giving so many hope for life!!! It is time for the big dogs with all their sensitive equipment, numerous employees, and lumps of tax payers money to join the fight for humanity against this disease. CDC it is time to reinvestigate this, you hold the power to help untangle the mystery of Morgellons!
